Rules

Seller pays normal registrar transfer fees if any. Buyer pays Seller only the sale price plus tax if required unless Buyer requests special services such as express delivery of papers.

There are three prices that can be set by the Seller:

• Minimum Offer - This is the lowest offer that a buyer is allowed to make for a domain name. Sellers are not obligated to sell a domain name for this price. If an offer is made, a 7 day featured auction will commence unless the offer meets the asking price.
• Reserve Price - A Buyer's offer that meets this price will result in a sale if a better offer is not received within 7 days of the original offer. Sellers do not have to set a Reserve Price. An offer that does not meet the Asking Price always triggers a 7 day featured auction. An offer that exceeds the reserve price, but does not meet the asking price, will still result in a sale at the end of the 7 day auction to the highest outstanding bid at the end of the auction. If no higher offer is received during the auction, then the buyer's original offer results in a sale at that price. Sellers can set or change the Reserve Price to automatically accept an offer at any time during the auction period (up to 7 days after the initial offer was made).
• Asking Price - When an offer meets this price, the listing will end immediately with a sale. This allows you to buy a domain name immediately without concern that another member will place a higher offer. Sellers who do not want to obligate themselves to an automatic sale do not have to set an Asking Price. An intial offer that does not meet the Asking Price always triggers a 7 day featured auction.

While Asking and Reserve Prices are optional, a listing will never end if the seller doesn't set one of these prices. This can be done before or while a current offer exists for a listing. Neither of these prices can be changed once an offer has been made that meets or exceeds them.

Offers expire in 7 days if they aren't accepted and don't meet the reserve price or asking price.

Proxy Bidding - With auctions ending around the clock, buyers are not able to watch the end of all auctions that interest them. All Closing Soon Auctions use proxy bidding to allow buyers to place their highest bid in advance. You can raise your proxy bid without changing the current bid amount. Selme will automatically place bids for you up to your proxy bid amount only when required to exceed another member's bid. IMPORTANT: PROXY BIDDING IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR "FEATURED AUCTIONS". Regular Selme listings often sell as a result of negotiations between one buyer and the seller. Proxy bidding would prevent a buyer from increasing an offer. Therefore, proxy bidding is not enabled for regular listings.
